I just returned from an extended, coast-to-coast journey across the USA. After setting out to pan the landscape, and then having to intermittently pause to gaze at some of the awesome physical scenery, I have to say this is still one amazing country. It can jolt your senses. High points of the trip - there were too many to mention here. Glitches and hazards along the way - there were a few.
     I will likely be incorporating some of these experiences in upcoming blogs, novels, and other publications. My artist wife and our little dog came along for the  trip. Actually, we had previously talked about collaborating on a project involving her impressionistic painting and photography with the addition of some descriptive prose on my part.   I jotted down some of my own first  impressions of the sights and sounds I experienced.  Stay tuned.                            Jim
